What Print Options Do We Offer?

Here at Sista Sista Kreations we offer many different print options! From sublimination to direct to film transfers. We take pride in being able to offer our customers QUALITY options tailored to their vision! Below we have given you some info to help you learn a little about each print option we offer. 

What is Sublimation?

Sublimination is similar to a tattoo. It is used to decorate or personalize many different items from shirts to coffee mugs. The heat opens up the pores of the fabric which allows the ink to transfer into the fabric. With applied pressure the ink cools and returns to a solid form. The result of sublimination is a permanent full color image that won’t crack, peel, or wash away! 

What is Heat Transfer Vinyl?

Heat transfer Vinyl which is also known as HTV is a speciality vinyl material. It is used to decorate fabric items such as shirts, and garments. HTV contains a heat activated backing which allows the vinyl to permanently transfer to your garment when heat and pressure is applied along with the right amount of time. The result of heat transfer vinyl is a soft, smooth to the touch design. With proper washing and care of your item it will not wash off crack or peel. 

What is Direct to Film?

Direct to film also known as DTF. DTF is a unique printing technology that allows you to print a design onto a special film and transfer it directly to the intended surface. This transfer is created by using a specific water based ink to print, then dried. A powder glue is applied to the back and then heat cured preparing it for storage or instant use. The design is transferred onto the surface through heat and pressure. DTF has the ability to last as long as screen prints but with out the cracking if properly washed and cared for.
